I’m Tamuna Kontridze (Kontra), a Georgia-based graphic designer and illustrator. My work includes a wide range of creative disciplines — branding, visual identity, illustration, typography, logo design, packaging, and character design. What drives me most is curiosity: the desire to experiment a lot through design and express creativity in my own unique ways.

Creating a new identity for a brand with a proud tradition and history, such as Sairme Bakery, was one of the most interesting design explorations. Since 2012, Sairme Bakery, located in the heart of the Sairme resort, has been offering products made using time-honored techniques and carefully selected ingredients, blending classic baking traditions with local influences.
From the very beginning, I aimed to create a symbolic and fresh design that reflected the unique atmosphere of Sairme and would be easily memorable to customers through its colors, shapes, typography, and other elements.

I redesigned the Sairme Bakery logo in both Georgian and English versions, carefully refreshing and refining the proportions of the original stylized wheat icon without completely changing it. My goal was to preserve the brand’s authentic spirit and emotional connection with its audience, while giving it a more balanced, modern, and visually harmonious identity.

Alongside the logo, I also developed a set of symbolic and distinctive icons (a bread shape, a deer, the sun, etc.) that enrich the bakery’s visual language and help communicate its unique character, values, and story to customers. Refreshing the color palette also had a significant impact, making the brand feel more vivid, fresh, and visually eye-catching.

Overall, all of the design elements come together to craft a new spirit for the brand, giving it a more expressive and memorable visual identity.
