Marionela 18+ by Legacy Experience Agency
Legacy Experience Agency is a creative agency working across strategy, experience and design, building ideas that connect brands with real culture and human contexts.

STARTING POINT WAS:
For Marionela, one of Georgia’s most iconic bridal houses, the brief started with a problem that sits uncomfortably close to its world: In Georgia, 1 in 7 girls is married before the age of 18. Marriage under 18 is prohibited by law, yet it still happens, particularly in communities where early marriage can be seen as tradition.
In the world, where alcohol has an 18+ label, cigarettes carry warnings and all around us, products tell us when we are old enough to use them, wedding dresses have never carried an age limit. So we asked: What if they did?
And the answer was Marionela 18+: an age-restriction label designed specifically for wedding dresses. A simple visual intervention with a simple message: Marriage is not for children.

WHY MARIONELA?
Marionela has been shaping Georgia's bridal culture for more than 30 years. That made it more than a relevant brand for the idea, but also the right voice for it. Who better to put an age limit on a wedding dress than one of the country's most established bridal houses? Instead of simply talking about child marriage, Marionela could make the issue visible where the conversation begins - on the dress itself.
DESIGNING THE MARK:
The challenge was to make 18+ immediately recognizable, while giving it a visual language that felt at home in the world of bridal fashion. The answer was deliberately simple. The 18+ sits inside an open circular form, the circle creates the feeling of a boundary, but not a barrier. It suggests protection without completely closing in. And that openness was important, because the mark isn't about restricting a girl's future, it's about protecting her right to have one.
FROM ONE ATELIER TO A WIDER CONVERSSATION:
The campaign launched across social media without paid media behind it. People shared the mark, influencers joined the conversation, and most importantly, other bridal salons began supporting the initiative and using the message themselves. The design was intentionally made to be easy to recognize, understand and adopt. Because the ambition was never for Marionela 18+ to remain just a Marionela campaign. It was to make 18+ a visible cultural statement around marriage - a very big boundary with a very tiny mark.Â
